Thursday browns bay

Drove to Devonport, we got out of the car to have lunch there but our friends from Fiji text us saying they were in Browns Bay, so we got back in the car and drove another 20 minutes up the coast to meet up with them, they are very distant relatives that dad has met through an Ancestry website.

We met them in speakers corner for lunch, me and dad and Hoki fish bites and chips, was lovely in the Bay the sun was out but not a lot it was sometimes sunny sometimes not it was warm though.
After lunch we went onto the beach, mum managed to get the scooter on the sand because it was quite flat and the tide had gone out so that was good.
But she couldn't go all the way on the sand so she went on the path near the main road and met me and dad at the other side of the beach, it's wasn't too far on we were sort of in the middle.

Donna, mums friend has got a friend that makes walking sticks so mum had ordered one and we went back to O'Hagans to collect it, Donna wasn't there but we met the lady who's company makes them.
It is a lovely purple one.

Then came home for a curry.
After tea we watched Mrs Browns Boys, then after that we stayed up late to watch a DVD, we watched The Departed eventually went to bed at 1am.

What sort of tree is this Nigel?
In His Response - It's a Banyan Tree, also known as a Moreton Bay Fig. It's a "strangler fig" that grows around another tree. Thanks Nige xxx
