Tuesday set off to coramandel

Set off from Maxine's at about 9am we are on our way to coramandel which is bout two hours I've from Auckland, it's a fantastic place, the views are spectacular, yes there's a beach here, its right by a ferry port, just a little ferry that can take you to the island across the water, it's a 2 minute ride, where as if you want your car it's a 30 minute drive, my option was to just swim across it would save some pennies lol, of course we went round in the car. I think the beach is called buffalo beach if not we are near enough to there.
So , I've managed to burn my self again it's blooming hot out here. I really love the beaches the wage is clear sometimes it's cold sometimes it's warm depending on the tide.

Sat there for abit then came back for a shower and got changed for tea.
We went to an Indian restaurant, it was abit quiet no one about, which is good but the waiter looked abit fed up, but he will have to wait a few more weeks until the summer/Christmas holidays come round.

Went to bed at 11pm was very tired, I'll go do today's blog now not all of it though I'm off to sleep x
Im Here, ill put the pictures on!
Oh heres some cows first lol.

tuesday moratai beach again ;)

i need to blog every two days im abit slow sorry, ill make up for it xx
we went to the beach again, it was really hot, so i went to get mum an icecream and me and dad had a magnum, mun had hokey pokey and mint on hers, hokey pokey is sort of like crunchie chocolate, without the chocolate ofcourse, also cause im greedy I had one of the buns me and Maxine had made. They were banana buns, I had the job of mashing the bananas.
Also we had our lunch on the beach I took a jam sandwhich with some fruit and a tomato.
After that I went for a paddle in the sea, the tide was out so the water was getting further and further away. I attempted to get to the steps on the wharf but  I only got up to my shorts because It was cold.

Im having a fantastic time as you can see its so exciting we are heading to the south island on the 3rd of december for two weeks, come back just in time for christmas.
Over the christmas weeks we are going to be dog sitting for Helen, she has a little dog called Louie, ill get a picture of him for you.

So when we had lunch on the beach there were lots of seagulls and sparrows after my jam sarnie.

monday st heliers and mission bay

Went to St Heliers it was a nice day so we had our lunch on the beach, I got bored so I went to look for some shorts so I could go in the sea, I didnt find any so I went back to mum and dad with a flat white coffee for mum and a tea for me, dad didnt want anything.

We had our drinks I said to mum do you want to go see if theres any good shops to look in, we went to a pharmacy and bought some wet wipes to use after we had been to the beach, We then went to the grocery shop next door and got some crisps and a bottle of pop.

We left the beach then head out to Auckland, we drove towards Mission Bay, there wasnt much there so we carried on towards Auckland.
When we got to Auckland we went to the Canterbury shop where I bought a t-shirt with silver ferns/cantebury on I think Darrren said they are a Basketball team, not sure.
We walked round in a circle just to have a look round, nothing exciting so we set off back home.

Went to zumba for the first time today it was hard work but managed to do it, we did gangnam style really fast I loved it, I went with Maxine to cockle bay school it was a big hall, lots of peopke were there young and old, it was my first day so instead of $10 it was $5. We had to follow the instructors they were dancers so we had to follow what they did, they put some really fast salsa music on I couldnt keep up, might go again thursday, I went with Maxine, we met Jodie there too.

sunday musick point and walk to half moon bay from bucklands beach.

We went to Musick Point, which is the furthest point you can go in New Zealand,So we had parked the car in the carpark and walked round the reserve, the views were excellent. if you want to get round it you would have to swim round I guess, It was very windy up there so I followed dad down some steps onto the rocks, it was even windier down there so I went back to the steps. We then head back to the car.

These are the steps going down to the rocks at Musick Point
This is a picture of dad on the rotary walk which leads from Bucklands Beach towards Half Moon Bay. We went on the walk when we got there in the car, it was really windy down there too. It is a long stretch of Harbour so it had a Wharf on it.

What about the Pigeon mountain walk. we went up a big hill called Pigeon mountain it is a volcano but has not erupted for a long time, it was a long way, we eventually got to the top and sat on a bench and took some photos. (pics?)

After we got back we were having tea with Maxines daughter Jodie's Husband Richards relatives, they are going home on tuesday so we had a birthday party for Jasmine who is there daughter she is 2 next week, so they didnt want to miss out.
She opened her presents and we had a play, she got a big yellow digger, we then went out to the sandpit to play with it.

Everyone went home then we watched tv then went to have a snooze on the sofa then went to bed later on after watching the english football results.

Forgot, we went to lloyd ellsmore park, there was some lads playing cricket, we sat on the grass to watch them. Then me and dad went to look in the Historical village was wheel chair friendly for mum, which it was you can hire a electric wheelchair for free too which is good. Me and dad got some leaflets too!

this one below is pigeon mountain me and dad lost control so we ran down.
this is the entrance to the village

Friday midnight mass

On friday we went for a walk round the Rotary walk again, we didnt do alot.

We met Maxine and Darren and a few friends in "the prospect of Howick" which is a pub on the main street of Howick.

We went to a Thai restaurant which was called Benjarong at about 8.00pm to have tea, it was busy so we booked a table, I didnt enjoy it that much everything was abit different to what I would normally eat.
I had beef, duck and pork, the waiter brought the rice round in a bowl she served it to you.

I had a nice ice cream at the end though.
I went to paper plus to get some birthday/christmas cards for mum and Vicki.

Thursday browns bay

Drove to Devonport, we got out of the car to have lunch there but our friends from Fiji text us saying they were in Browns Bay, so we got back in the car and drove another 20 minutes up the coast to meet up with them, they are very distant relatives that dad has met through an Ancestry website.

We met them in speakers corner for lunch, me and dad and Hoki fish bites and chips, was lovely in the Bay the sun was out but not a lot it was sometimes sunny sometimes not it was warm though.
After lunch we went onto the beach, mum managed to get the scooter on the sand because it was quite flat and the tide had gone out so that was good.
But she couldn't go all the way on the sand so she went on the path near the main road and met me and dad at the other side of the beach, it's wasn't too far on we were sort of in the middle.

Donna, mums friend has got a friend that makes walking sticks so mum had ordered one and we went back to O'Hagans to collect it, Donna wasn't there but we met the lady who's company makes them.
It is a lovely purple one.

Then came home for a curry.
After tea we watched Mrs Browns Boys, then after that we stayed up late to watch a DVD, we watched The Departed eventually went to bed at 1am.

What sort of tree is this Nigel?
In His Response - It's a Banyan Tree, also known as a Moreton Bay Fig. It's a "strangler fig" that grows around another tree. Thanks Nige xxx

Tuesday rain and thundering

We got up at 11.30am we didn't go out because it was really cloudy we put some washing out to dry and by 12.00pm we had to bring it back in because it started raining really heavily.
It was thundering and lightening it wasn't nice Jodie's kittens didn't like it they came to sit with me.

After it had stopped raining we went to Maxine's to put the washing in the dryer as Jodie doesn't have one, we took maxine some baking trays because she was making Christmas cakes.

Monday Half moon bay walk

Went for a walk to Half moon bay, on the way there we went to the rotary park walkway, it was a nice walk, of course for me and dad, mum was on the scooter.
It was very cloudy it wasn't raining though.
We saw the Waikeke Boat coming in, you can get on this with your cars, you get on at Half Moon Bay ferry port and you go across to Waikeke Island it takes about 20 minutes to get there, I have not been on it yet but mum and dad went on it last year.
