Saturday 10th November 2012

We went to Pine Harbour for lunch with Helen and Kenny at first we walked round the harbour then we sat down for lunch I had an egg and bacon buttie,forgot the name of the place but I think it was called the jolly roger where we ate.
we set of back to Jodie's where we were cat sitting the kittens, as I type this I've got hold of one because it keeps trying to eat my toast when I'm not looking, she is purring away and chewing my cardigan.

We arranged to meet Helen and Kenny at 5pm so we could go for a drink in a bar,the bar we won't to was called O'Hagans it was on the Pakaranga road which is near Highland park.
We bumped into Donna who is Helen's friend she is mums old friend from a cafe in Huddersfield where they used to work in when they were teenagers.

So Helen and Donna are friends so they met up with mum somewhere two years ago when they came the first time, we weren't really meeting them there but I think Donna goes the a lot so it was a good thing they were there so we had a chat with them, then set off to the Howick Club to socialise for a night out, again I had a snack I had a beef burger with chips, it was rather nice but going to have to stop eating bad things, the chips are lovely out here but can eat loads then feel poorly don't want to do that, I remember in South Africa we had bread all the time with our meals and I always felt bloated so Im still trying to cut down abit.

Back at the Howick club, there was a karaoke on so we stayed to watch people singing as you would,when theres a karaoke on. Cathy and Alex came to join us, some more friends of Helen's that mum and dad have met over the years.

Friday

Went to Maraitai Beach today it was very hot i got burnt, I put factor 30 on but didnt rub it in.
Had lunch in the cafe across from the beach and had a coffee, I had a croissant with egg and bacon in it.
Me and dad went for a walk to the rocks then walked back and got an ice cream each, mum was sat with a man that they had probably seen 2 years ago when they first came, mum got chatting to him.

Went out with Darren and Maxine and Harry for tea to Rock Fire cafe in Howick, they were telling us they were going to see cold play tomorrow which made me abit jealous.
After that we went next door for a drink in the pub.

Thursday eastern beach

Went to Eastern beach, me and dad went for a wonder on the rocks whilst mum looked on in Auckland then took my jeans to Botany to have my jeans turned up.
Mum was sat on the beach talking to a duck. Not alot happend.
We met up afterwards with Jodie, Maxine and Darren for a drink in a pub called the "Basalt" which is in Howick  town center on Picton Street.

We went back to Maxines and had a hells pizza had an early night because we were all tired.

This duck is a female mallard duck this is the one mum was talking to.

wednesday

Drove to St Alberts in Auckland to meet a private car salesman. On the way there we got a bit lost so we ended up going over the Auckland Harbour Bridge.He met us in a liquor store car park, dad arranged to meet him there, dad then met the man and took the car to test drive the car, they came back dad gave the man the money then they drove to the post office to register the car in dads name. Mum drove maxines car and we followed dad behind whilst he drove the "new" car home.

So, we checked the car over again and drove off for test drive, me and mum were in maxines car on the way back to Howick.

We stopped for petrol to fill both cars up, maxines needed filling back up because we kept borrowing it.

Tuesday 6th November 2

We have just been chilling in Auckland this week, got up today and went to look for a car, on the way we stopped at One Tree Hill, and then we went to Cornwall Park to have lunch, I had poached eggs on toast, mum has scrambled eggs on toast, and dad had eggs Benedict with bacon it was all very lovely.

We then drove round looking at used cars as we need to buy one, they are very expensive here, and you dont get much for your money.
We saw a couple that would be alright but dad is going to look on trademe.

We came back to Howick and went to the beach for a wonder, then we went to the supermarket got some bread and some limes, then we came back to Maxine and Darrens.

Saturday

Today we went shopping in Botany with Maxine and Harry, Dad went to get some sim cards for his phone so we can ring friends in NZ for free instead of ringing them off his tmobile number, which will cost him alot.

When we got back I picked some coriander from the garden to put in the curry for tonights party, we are going to Helen and Kenny's to watch fireworks from the Howick Club, and you can see the all over Howick to see lots of fireworks.

Went to Helens at abot 6pm, met some new people, we sat round the table and had nibbles.
came home at abut 12pm.

 

Friday

1.27pm

Was very tired last night, went to bed at 11pm, jet lagged or just tired from the long flight, woke up today at 9.30am went downstairs for a shower to wake me up. 

When I got downstairs mum was on Skype with vicki, we talked about the kitchen floor being completed she showed it us on the webcam it was almost finished, I was shouting floyd the dog he was tilting his head as if to say where's that coming from lol.

So I had my shower then we went to the supermarket, was abit concerned as I didn't see any haribos oh well I found some oreos instead, I did tell Rebekah they didn't sell them but they do, I found some that had hundreds and thousands on, how about that. 

 

Just waiting to go for lunch now dad is looking at cars on the laptop so we can hire one so we can get sound town whilst maxine and Darren are at work.

I was just looking outside to see how warm it was it felt like 18 degrees it was by sunny.

2.15pm 

We went for lunch at ara-tai cafe in half moon bay, me mum and dad along with Maxine had some lunch there, I had lasagne with garlic bread i enjoyed it very much. 

Took a few pictures of the bay whilst doing that a little kingfisher flew by.

 

After lunch we went to Pigeon Mountain, to see some Pageko's (cant spell that) (pictures)
